Why a Hluhluwe / RRCS puppy

Why a puppy from the RRCS breeder club/Hluhluwe? International documents: the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Switzerland (RRCS) is a section of the Swiss Cynological Society (SKG) which in turn belongs to the umbrella organization of the International Cynological Federation (FCI). FCI documents are recognized worldwide.

Controlled breeding: to be admitted to SKG / FCI breeding, the RR subject must pass an admission test for the breed at the age of two or three years. During the RRCS test the subjects are checked by two judges for their character and by a specialist breed judge in terms of standard / morphology.

Health check: all potential breeding dogs undergo X-rays for HD, ED and OCD (hip, elbow and shoulder dysplasia) as well as genetic tests (JME, DM, Hemophilia B, D lokus, etc.) . Before the sale, the puppies are examined, vaccinated and microchipped by a veterinarian and receive an official acceptance protocol from the RRCS kennel manager for the attention of the new owners. Dogs with genetic defects (e.g. defects such as DS, comb, tail or teeth) naturally receive FCI pedigree records because they are purebred, but without a breeding license.

Breeding and advice: Each breeder in the breed club participates in mandatory periodic updates, will monitor his female during the nine week gestation period, but will also be present around the clock for her pups during the first two months of life. The puppies grow up in close contact with the breeder and his family and are thoroughly socialized and looked after, eg. during this time, they learn to properly relate to people of different ages, conspecifics / other pets and all kinds of environmental stimuli.

The club guarantees healthy and species-appropriate breeding. The facility and litter are monitored by the RRCS club supervisor and, after each litter with over eight puppies, the bitch receives a break of at least one year. Our kennel has a maximum of 3 litters per female.
